Resolution 1: Reaffirmation of LPO Sovereignty and Autonomy
WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party of Oregon is a fully sovereign and independent political party organized under the laws of the State of Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the national Libertarian Party serves only as a voluntary patron organization as described in Article V, Section 1 of the LPO bylaws and possesses no binding authority over the LPO’s internal governance, platform, or operations; and
BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Committee hereby reaffirms the complete sovereignty and independence of the Libertarian Party of Oregon in all matters including but not limited to candidate selection, messaging, internal rules, and state-level policy positions.
Adopted by the Executive Committee of Libertarian Party of Oregon on June 6th 2026 by a recorded vote and Passed without objection
