Whereas, the Libertarian Party champions decentralization as a means to empower individuals, foster innovation, and reduce coercive control by centralized authorities;
Whereas, the Libertarian Party supports technological innovation, including the development and use of cryptocurrencies, as a vital expression of free markets and individual sovereignty;
Whereas, the Biden administration’s policies, including Operation Chokepoint 2.0, have targeted the cryptocurrency industry with discriminatory financial restrictions, stifling innovation and violating the principles of free enterprise;
Whereas, President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance have publicly committed to ending Operation Chokepoint and the broader regulatory assault on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, aligning with libertarian values of economic freedom and limited government interference;
Whereas, the prosecutions of Roman Storm, Keonne Rodriguez, William Lonergan Hill, Roger Ver, and others, as well as the imprisonment of Ian Freeman, represent unjust overreaches by the federal government, punishing individuals for exercising their rights to innovate and engage in consensual transactions;
Therefore, be it resolved, that the Libertarian Party of Oregon calls upon the Trump administration to:
Immediately drop all charges against Roman Storm, Keonne Rodriguez, William Lonergan Hill, Roger Ver, and other individuals targeted for their involvement in cryptocurrency innovation;

Resolved:
WHEREAS, the Libertarian Party of Oregon has adopted the national Libertarian Party platform, which calls for peace with all nations, entangling alliances with none, and an end to U.S. policies of foreign intervention including military aid, economic sanctions, and regime change;
WHEREAS, the platform affirms both the right of all people to defend themselves and condemns the use of force against innocent life, whether committed by governments or non-state actors;
WHEREAS, recent escalations between Israel and Iran—including military strikes and retaliatory actions—pose a serious risk of drawing the United States into another unauthorized and undeclared war in the Middle East;
WHEREAS, continued U.S. military aid to foreign governments, including Israel, undermines American neutrality and risks entangling the United States in conflicts not of its choosing;
WHEREAS, Senator Tim Kaine in the Senate, and Representatives Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna in the House, have introduced War Powers Resolutions that would prohibit the President from engaging U.S. armed forces in hostilities against Iran without a formal declaration of war or specific congressional authorization;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Libertarian Party of Oregon supports these War Powers Resolutions as a necessary reaffirmation of Congress’s sole constitutional authority to declare war;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Libertarian Party of Oregon calls on Oregon’s congressional delegation to support these resolutions and to oppose any unauthorized U.S. military involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Libertarian Party of Oregon urges a return to a principled foreign policy of non-intervention, neutrality, and peace—guided by respect for innocent life, national sovereignty, and the U.S. Constitution.

Resolution 23-01 Concerning Childhood Sex Changes and Transitional Hormone Therapy
The Libertarian Party Platform Planks 1.1, 1.5 and 2.13 encompass Parental Rights, Self-Ownership and Healthcare, adopted in 2016 as reaffirmed in Convention, May 2022.
Oregon: The Libertarian Party of Oregon Public Policy Board announced Resolution 23-01 Concerning Childhood Sex Changes and Transitional Hormone Therapy, a resolution voted on by the elected Public Policy Board.
This resolution declares that whereas children are unable to consent, surgery and hormone therapy causes irreversible harm that is tantamount to child abuse.
“It is already illegal for parents and caretakers to abuse their own children,” says Sonja Feintech, Public Policy Board Secretary at the Libertarian Party of Oregon. “We have very strong laws already in place to criminalize the abuse of children and the level of harm that irreversible gender surgery and hormone therapy qualifies as abuse, one hundred percent.”
This resolution includes:
Whereas, children are not capable of consent; this is why we call them children (and not adults).
Whereas, Libertarians fully support the right of adults to transition or undergo any medical treatment they desire to. We support all members of the LGBT+ community to live their lives as they see fit. All individuals have the same rights.
Whereas, child abuse consists of any act of commission or omission that endangers or impairs a child’s physical or emotional health and development. Child abuse includes any damage done to a child which cannot be reasonably explained and which is often represented by an injury or series of injuries appearing to be non-accidental in nature.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, the Libertarian Party of Oregon considers both transitional hormone therapy and surgical gender re-assignment surgery on children to be child abuse.

Resolution 22-06 Concerning Corona Vaccine and Injection Mandates
Libertarian Platform Plank 1.1 on Self Ownership states:
“Individuals own their bodies and have rights over them that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate. Individuals have the freedom and responsibility to decide what they knowingly and voluntarily consume, and what risks they accept to their own health, finances, safety, or life;”
Oregon: The Libertarian Party of Oregon Public Policy Board announced Resolution 22-06 Concerning Corona Vaccine and Injection Mandates, a resolution voted on by the elected Public Policy Board.
This resolution declares:
“The government has a very poor track record of making decisions for the public good when given unrestrained power, ” says Sonja Feintech, Public Policy Board Secretary at the Libertarian Party of Oregon. “The creation and reign of OHA in particular is a great example of unelected officials making health requirements and mandates that have long term repercussions with zero recourse for Oregon citizens. ”
This resolution includes:
Oregon has a long history with harmful health mandates often targeting vulnerable communities, including forced physical and chemical castration of homosexuals, mandated prefrontal lobotomies, mandated sterilization of the “feeble minded,” mandated electroshock therapy, forced psychiatric medicating of schoolchildren with Adderall and Ritalin, forced administration of AZT to babies born from HIV positive mothers, and involuntary fluoridation of water supplies.
Corona injection manufacturers, including Pfizer, have made generous political contributions to Oregon politicians, creating a conflict of interest in the administration of public policy contrary to the benefit of the People of Oregon.
As of November 11, 2022, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System lists 32,200 corona injection associated deaths and 183,165 corona injection associated hospitalizations
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED the Libertarian Party of Oregon opposes all vaccine and injection mandates – both public and private – including proposals to add corona injections to OAR 333-050-0050;

Resolution 22-05 Concerning Oregon Measure 114
Oregon: The Libertarian Party of Oregon Public Policy Board announced Resolution 22-05 Concerning Oregon Measure 114, a resolution voted on by the elected Public Policy Board.
This resolution declares:
Measure 114 is incompatible with the Constitution of Oregon, Article 1, Section 27 and the Constitution of the United States, Amendment 2; and
Measure 114 is poor public policy and runs contrary to Libertarian Principles; and
Measure 114 is poorly written, unfunded, and was unfairly presented to the voters.
“The Oregon constitution in particular is very clear on gun ownership and our constitutional rights as Americans but also as Oregonians, ” says Sonja Feintech, Public Policy Board Secretary at the Libertarian Party of Oregon. “The Libertarian Party of Oregon supports legal actions against what is clearly a gun grab, antithetical to the cause of liberty.”
This resolution includes:
The Libertarian Party of Oregon supports the legal action of the Oregon Firearm Federation and the Sherman County Sheriff against Measure 114 and the Libertarian Party of Oregon is authorized to submit an amicus brief in support of the lawsuit.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED the chair of the Public Policy Board may designate individuals to speak for the Libertarian Party of Oregon to the contents of this resolution in the administrative rulemaking process for Measure 114 and before legislative committees considering revision, modification, or repeal of all or parts of Measure 114.

About the Libertarian Public Policy Board: The Public Policy Board is a newly created body of the Libertarian Party of Oregon and acts as the public outreach and policy creator branch of the Oregon Libertarian Party. Article 6, Section 2 of the Libertarian Party of Oregon’s Bylaws allows the Public Policy Board to, by three quarters vote, adopt positions on specific matters of public policy.
Whereas, the LP National platform states:
1.1 Self-Ownership
Individuals own their bodies and have rights over them that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate. Individuals have the freedom and responsibility to decide what they knowingly and voluntarily consume, and what risks they accept to their own health, finances, safety, or life.
1.5 Parental Rights
Parents, or other guardians, have the right to raise their children according to their own standards and beliefs, provided that the rights of children to be free from abuse and neglect are also protected.
2.13 Health Care
We favor a free market health care system. Medical facilities, medical providers, and medical products (including drugs) must be freely available in the marketplace without government restrictions or licenses. We recognize the freedom of individuals to determine the level of health insurance they want (if any), the level of health care they want, the care providers they want, the medicines and treatments they will use and all other aspects of their medical care, including end-of-life decisions. People should be free to purchase health insurance across state lines. We oppose governments either mandating, or restricting voluntary access to, medical treatments or procedures including vaccines.
Whereas, according a study published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, and Evolutionary Biologist Heather Heying PHD Univ of Michigan, adolescents with gender dysphoria (GD) treated with gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog (GnRHa) therapy are temporarily sex-steroid deprived until the addition of cross-sex hormones (CSH) and they have a measurable decrease in their bone mass density. It also has negative effects on several physiological parameters, including blood volume, cholesterol and several other hormones. Furthermore, giving GnRH at onset of puberty affects cognitive function in an animal model (sheep), impairing spatial memory. Less concerning, but also permanent, testosterone therapy for trans male children post puberty will have already caused facial hair growth and lowered the voice. There is a lot that is not known about the long term effects of transitioning children. A lot of this is due to the fact it has only started becoming prevalent in recent years. Some though is already clear:
Whereas, intervening at an early age with experimental and disruptive medical practices for all the children who declare themselves trans, risks harm to a large number of non-trans people for life.
If the risks have to be weighed:
The treatments for people who are trans—puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery—have permanent costs. For the vast majority of children and youth who are merely exploring identity and belief, doing what children do—those costs are unacceptable. We now live in a culture where public schools are teaching students in elementary schools that they may not be the correct sex. It is entirely possible for children to say they are not the correct gender now, and realize they were wrong later. It is also very possible for parents to convince or coerce their children into transitioning to the opposite sex. This could be because they are ashamed to have a gay or lesbian child, or because they think it is politically fashionable. In either case, this is child abuse.
Whereas, any children that undergo full surgical transition to the other sex will not be able to have children of their own because they will not have the parts of their original reproductive system necessary. Furthermore, medical advancements cannot construct ovaries or testicles for individuals that did not have them at birth.
Whereas, even if the child stops short of surgical transition, they run a great risk of becoming infertile, especially biological females. One is generally able to conceive and carry children about 18 months after stopping testosterone therapy, although there is no guarantee that the reproductive system will still function correctly. Trans men on testosterone treatments often have an elevated risk of developing polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which usually causes infertility. There are also increased risks of birth defects after lengthy testosterone therapy. For trans female children, stopping estrogen therapy for a period of time may allow sperm production to resume, although it may not be at a sufficient level to produce a pregnancy without assisted reproduction, if at all.
If done pre-puberty, without having gone through natal puberty, anatomical males will not produce sperm and anatomical females will not have eggs capable of maturing for fertilization.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, the Libertarian Party of Oregon considers both transitional hormone therapy and surgical gender re-assigment surgery on children to be child abuse.

Whereas, taxation is theft
Whereas, foreign aid is stealing money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries.
Whereas, Libertarians realize that nearly always every actor on both sides of every war is a state. States are evil organizations that seek to enrich their own wealth and power with no regard for the cannon fodder that fights their wars.
Whereas, further escalation in Ukraine risks the possibility of an all out war between NATO, Russia, and Russia’s allies.
